Wharton CUFE China General Management Program

Overview

The Wharton CUFE General Management Program is designed for successful entrepreneurs and executives to accelerate their career potential.

It is among the first Wharton programs available outside of the United States that will grant participants Wharton Alumni Status. The best programs from Wharton’s wide selection of Executive Education offerings have been chosen for the program.

As a multi-disciplinary program, it covers four functional business areas:

The curriculum also integrates modules that provide an up-close view of China’s business community. It does not only provide management skills and case studies but also integrates an in-depth understanding of global business and the latest knowledge on technology, enabling participants to break new grounds in the future through continuous innovation in the momentum of changes.

Faculty

Geoffrey Garrett

Geoffrey Garrett is Dean, Reliance Professor of Management and Private Enterprise, and a prominent International Political Economist. Dr. Garrett was dean of the business schools at both the University of Sydney and UNSW

Jagmohan S. Raju

Jagmohan S. Raju is the Joseph J. Aresty Professor and Professor of Marketing and the Vice Dean of Executive Education. Professor Raju is the expert internationally known for his research on pricing strategies.

Z. John Zhang

Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School and Tsai Wan-Tsai Professor; He also taught at the Olin School of Business of Washington University in St. Louis and Columbia Business School. John has published numerous articles and books in leading journals.

Richard Marston

Richard Marston is the James R.F. Guy Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. A graduate of Yale University, University of Oxford and MIT; Professor Marston was also a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.

Raphael Amit

Raphael (“Raffi”) Amit is the Marie and Joseph Melone Professor and a Professor of Management at the Wharton School. Professor Amit founded and leads the Wharton Global Family Alliance (WGFA), which has collaboration with most influential global families.

Harbir Singh

Harbir Singh is the Edward H. Bowman Professor of Management and the Vice Dean for Global Initiatives at the Wharton School; He is also the Co-Director of Mack Institute for Innovation Management and the Wharton School, and Director for multiple programs.

Nicolaj Siggelkow

Nicolaj Siggelkow is a co-director of Wharton’s Mack Institute for Innovation Management and Professor of Management; His research has been published in the leading management journals,

and is the recipient of the award of Academic Contributions by Academy of Management Journal.

Maurice Schweitzer

Cecilia Yen Koo Professor at Wharton, Professor of Operations, Information and Decisions; Maurice Schweitzer’s research focuses on emotions, ethical decision-making, and the negotiation process.

Jules van Binsbergen

Jules van Binsbergen is the Nippon Life Associate Professor in Finance; Professor of Finance, The Wharton School. His current work focuses on asset pricing; he was the faculty at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, He received his PhD from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

David Wessels

David Wessels is an Adjunct Professor of Finance, and a Director of Executive Education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. David’s book, Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies is a standard text for corporate valuation and performance management.

Schedule

  • Program duration: 2 years
  • Frequency: Monthly

The program includes content provided by both Wharton and Longma. There will be 27 days of mandatory Wharton programming that will occur over several modules. U.S. based modules will last 4-5 days. Wharton modules taking place in Beijing will last 2-3 days. There will be additional sessions provided by Longma in between Wharton modules each lasting 2-3 days.

Alumni Status

  • Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn Wharton alumni status and become part of a global alumni network of more than 99,000 members.
  • Each alumnus will receive an exclusive alumni account from The Wharton School with access to the WhartonConnect directory, alumni chat room Wharton Fast Chats, Webinars, and access to Wharton Alumni Clubs and Global Forums.
